National Craft Month: Community Activities

Every great community encourages its members to pursue recreation that educates, entertains, and relaxes them. That’s why we’re pleased to share with our community that March is National Craft Month!

Would you like to become more involved in your community’s craft scene? Check out these ideas that Fulshear and its surrounding communities will sponsor during National Craft Month.

Police Officer Story Time: Join some of your local police officers on Saturday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sugar Land branch of the Fort Bend County Library. All ages are welcome to meet local officers, listen to stories, and create crafts as a community.

Rosenberg Spring Fair: Stop by from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 24820 Commercial Drive in Rosenberg, TX on March 12 & 13. Meet and support local crafters and artists as they display their wares.

Family Night – Going, Going Green! Chick-Fil-A in Katy Mills will host its Family Night on Tuesday March 15 at 5:30 p.m. for St. Patrick’s Day themed crafts. Have fun and meet new friends in your community!

Paper Crafting: Learn the beautiful art of watercolor card crafting on March 7 at Michaels on 23514 Westheimer Parkway, Katy. The class is free and is from 6:30-8:30 P.M. Supplies are not included.

Why not plan to have your own craft event in March? Grab a few craft supplies and prepare some simple refreshments. Invite a few good friends, but be sure to include a few neighbors you’d like to know better. A craft party is a great way have fun while improving the close-knit feel of your community. Give it a try! You’ll be glad you did.
