Live Music in Fort Bend County

Fort Bend County is home to great venues for appreciating live music. Here is a sampling of what’s available in the area for your listening enjoyment this summer.

Friday, Jul 28th at 7:30pm:

Sugar Land town center concerts presents: Vino and Vintage Vocals with Vino & Vinyl

Sugar Land Town Square

Nightbird, a tribute band that pays homage to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, will entertain you with their energetic performance. This lauded group was nominated in 2010 and 2012 for Best Tribute Band in the Houston Press Awards. Vino & Vinyl, a popular and eclectic local specialty shop, will offer refreshments to purchase. Cost: Free.

Friday, August 11th at 9:30pm:

Morgan McKay plays at The Lone Star Saloon

The Lone Star Saloon is a hidden gem in Richmond. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays bring a variety of live music shows featuring musicians hailing from all over Texas. Morgan McKay has a “sultry and soulful” country voice that she’s been charming audiences with since age 10. in 2001, she won a CMA Country Music Award and has been raking in the accolades ever since. Don’t miss her if you’ve country! Cost: $7.00 Cover. Age 21+.

Saturday, August 12th at 2:00pm:

Indian Music Society of Houston plays Classical Indian Music

University Branch of the Fort Bend County Library

For a change of musical pace, bring your whole family to the University Branch of the Fort Bend Library to listen to classical Indian music. Musical pieces will feature the sitar, flute, and tabla. Cost: Free. No registration required.
